COVID Guidelines: The following guidelines will be used to ensure the highest level of safety for all of our skaters and families. These are subject to change with little or no notice and are based off the best practices known to keep people safe at this time.

Wallace FSC will be following recommended guidance issued by FMC Ice Sports, USFSA, and Massachusetts Commonwealth regarding rink sports.

  • Registration will be strictly online ONLY. No exchange of paper money, checks, or paper forms.

  • We will no longer accommodate on site sign ups. Please book your ice ahead of time.

  • COVID Waivers must be submitted electronically prior to the first day of Lessons. Attached below

  • Attendance will be taken of every adult/student in the building for COVID Tracing, if necessary.

  • Limited contact at the desk, with verbal skater check in.

  • All skaters, adults and coaches must have a face covering at ALL times in the building, on ALL Ice Sessions.

  • No loitering in lobby. All skaters must walk in following marked arrows/signage and head strait to ice level. One guardian per child, must sit in the stands socially distanced from other parents, and are not allowed to watch or congregate in the lobby.

  • We strongly advise skaters to put skates on outside in parking lot prior to walking in or finding a spot to socially distance at ice level.  Skate bags, and personal items will not be allowed to be stored in the lobby. Please limit items carried into the rink.

  • If a skater needs assistance to put helmet on, tie skates, etc. a parent may assist but then needs to leave the ice level area immediately.

  • Skate rentals will not available at this time.

  • Learn To Skate Registration – We will only accept students that are proficient on skates enough to get up on their own without assistance due to proper social distancing protocols and adhering to current safety measures. If your skater requires adult assistance, we suggest they sign up for the Grown Up and Me, lesson.

  • All personal items must be placed in the stands to the left, socially distanced for others, prior to stepping on the ice (bags, hard guards, water bottles, etc..)

Any items left at the ice entry level will be moved to the stands to adhere to the Wallace Civic Center sanitizing procedure.

There is ONE WAY Entry from the Ice Level and all skaters must EXIT off the ice through the Hockey bench to the left. Coaches will guide skaters to correct exit procedures.

Please urge your skater to move along quickly to find their belongings, so we can maintain social distancing with this new exit procedure.

  • Coaches will be asked to socially distance skaters to the greatest extent possible. Ex. One coach, to 10 student cohorts.

  • If a Coach, Parent, or Skater is sick, Please stay home!

  • Failure to comply with above rules will result in removal of the rink.

  • During the season, if the facility needs to close due Mass Gov. Safety Guidelines we will either offer credit back to the skater or adjust Session Dates to accommodate regulations

  • If a skater needs to Self Quarantine due to COVID-19, please contact the club at [email protected] and we will add the skater to a make-up list. The skater will be able to use the make-ups at any time during the season for missed ice time.
